Gufram at Casa Italia, Winter Olympics, 2022

For the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the Italian Olympic Team found its celebration at Casa Italia, thanks to the Millium project. Through the telling of the stories of the Italia Team, the true protagonist of the Olympic experience, Casa Italia accompanies all the Italian athletes during the days of the Beijing Olympics.

In this environment, the pieces by Gufram, BROKEN MIRROR and the bench from the same series designed by Snarkitecture stand out. The project is a soft surface in contrast to the almost sharp design with internal edges that evoke a crack in a rock. The optical effect created opens the room to an external world that emerges from this split, or the contact between the person in the mirror and his alter ego. The bench, on the other hand, seems to be the missing piece of the rock that makes the mirror emerge. Also by Gufram are some seats from the CAPITELLO series designed by Studio 65, which furnish the interior.
