First part of a triptych, this major exhibition brings together around a hundred key objects from the Fonds national d'art contemporain, one of the most important design collections in Europe, enriched, preserved and distributed in France and abroad by the National Center for Plastic Arts (CNAP).
Comfort Zones offers a visit to a curious home: a form of theater of our activities which invites us to reflect on our domestic environment and the notion of comfort. The objects constitute the decor and the accessories of a large scene in which the visitor is both the spectator and the actor.
Liberation or constraint, what do these objects say about our activities and our concerns? Products produced in large quantities, a standardized solution for comfort, rub shoulders with more unique works, overturning aesthetic codes or morals.
