Gufram makes exceptionally visible colours that are normally imperceptible to the human eye: Ultraviolet, Gammablue and Infrared. CACTUS® Ultraviolet is at the beginning of Gufram’s spectrum: its short wavelength shade enriches every space stimulating intuition and imagination. CACTUS® Gammablue stands in the middle of the Gufram range as a symbol of balance between the extreme forces which surround us. Finally, CACTUS® Infrared, with its gradient tone, marks the end of the Gufram spectrum: its long wavelength hints to stamina and to the vitality of everyday life.
CACTUS® comes to life in 1972 thanks to the genius of Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, and from the start it questions the static and rigid world of interior design; this hall-tree redeems itself from functionalism, because it can perform its function, but also be used as a merry decorative element. Originally available in a vibrant, deep emerald green, it has been recoloured and reinterpreted over the years by artists, musicians, fashion designers, always keep its irreverent and imposing look.
