Puffo

  • Originally designed in 1968 by Giorgio Ceretti, Pietro Derossi and Riccardo Rosso, PUFFO was presented for the first time at the 14th International Exhibition of the Triennale di Milano. Inspired by the famous traffic-blocking "panettone" typical of Milanese urban planning, PUFFO renews the short circuit typical of Gufram domestic sculptures that are made of soft polyurethane.

History

Exhibited in some of the most important museums in the world and sold by the most famous international auction houses, PUFFO, typically presented in various colors, is now also available for outdoor use and in new shades. In this new version the dominant color is applied over the entire surface and then dotted with a contrasting color using the dripping technique, which is reminiscent of some of the most famous works of art of the post-war period.

Like all the works in the Gufram collection, the PUFFO is handcrafted with meticulous care, starting from a block of expanded polyurethane to obtain a texture similar to concrete. The sculptures are then covered with Guflac® Ultra, the evolution of Guflac®, a special paint invented by Gufram over 50 years ago, which makes each piece incredibly resistant and long-lasting to atmospheric agents.
